My Poster for the 1940s

I love this! I had to make it last year! Got a nice little 100% as my grade! And im SO GLAD i got the 1940s...we had to pick randomly and it was 20s-2000s! I was hoping to either get 40s-60s and looky what i got! Phew...


And i know you Mary Grace would LOVE this as well! ;D

Birthday gifts!

I got an electric guitar!! Yes! ;)


















And i got "Rubber Soul" album and an oldies album called "Soda Fountain Favourites"! Love them!
This is "Rock Around the CLock" glad it came on this album! (the Soda Fountain one.)

My birthday was 1 Jan. these just came late! Thanks mum and dad!

1940-60s Fad and Fashions!

I drew a few...fashions or Girls and Boys...(That i liked.)

This girl is a mix of Lucy from I Love Lucy. Her outfit is something Lucy wore during the show...and i took her hair and others and meshed it together!


Leather, Elvis-hair. These are one side the boys, fashions, they usually wore suits tho...but i liked this type too and im not that good at suits anyways LOL...Anyroad! But im happy with the way the leather turned out!! <3 and the shading...phew...haha



The hair was going to be the BEE Hive hair but i made it into this cut. Then this is the plaid dress... Pliad is so fun to do! Yet its hard...you just have to have the right shapes and lines...
Anyways...heres the dress i modeled this off of ::

This was going to alternate: Girl-Boy-Girl-Boy up till 70s...but i just didn't want to do 70s...haha didn't feel like it...

Book List

  • The Outsiders: early 60s, Greasers, Socs, fights. One of my friends said it is a good book so i read it, also cos i liked the time period, 60s. its about a group of boys (Greasers, as their kind are called). the main charactor, Ponyboy, and his two older brothers, struggles with family and death, but together the group IS a family. its happy/sad.Its definetly a teen book, 13 and older. PLus i found it in the teen section of the library!
  • The Hobbit: another great story!
  • Shadows On the Sea: Same as above, it takes place during WWII. and its Adventure/mystery. A girl who staying away from home and she meets knew friends and some that dis like her. She faces struggles but when some one comes in one night...
  • Louis L'Amour books: Second or first favorite writer!
  • Lord of the Rings: the best series!
  • Jane Eyre: Read it...its about an orphan girl...thats all im gonna say. Its just so fun and mysterious!
  • How To Kill a Mockingbird: Its takes place in the 30s or 40s. The title gets a person interested in it. its a wonderful book. and very mysterious and adventurous!
  • Harry Potter
  • Hank the Cowdog series: Just a lot of laughs!! And great for the family!!
  • Bible: Only way to learn about God.
  • Agatha Christie books: She is a really good mystery writer! My favourite series of hers is Poirot. With her books you NEVER know whats gonna come next!! "She fooled me almost every time! Well not every time, maybe once or twice, well, once, but it was a good once!"
